Anna is a licensed attorney who joined Cadence in 2013. She specializes in administration of special needs trusts for beneficiaries with disabilities or special needs who either receive public benefits or want to retain eligibility to receive public benefits in the future. She has specialized knowledge in trust and estates issues involving Medicaid/Medicare, probate and guardianship matters, and elder law.

Anna has held memberships with numerous professional groups, including the Estate Planning Councils of Central Texas and San Antonio, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Austin Bar Association, and the San Antonio Probate Group. Bilingual in Spanish, Anna also participates in various organizations aimed at positively impacting the local community, including the Foundation Community Tax Center and the Texas Law 1L Alumni Mentorship Program.

Prior to joining Cadence, Anna worked for more than 6 years as an attorney with a large international law firm where she focused her practice primarily on complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters.
 

Anna received her J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law and her B.A. summa cum laude in History and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. Anna recently obtained the Accredited Trust Financial Advisor (ATFA) certification from Campbell University.
