co-author of the bestselling book The Special Needs Planning Guide (Haddad/Nadworny,
Brookes Pulbishing Co.), now in its second edition.
Cindy is a passionate advocate of education for families and has presented hundreds of pro-
bono informational workshops, participated in panels and podcasts, and is quoted extensively
in the media in industry publications. She is absolutely committed to empowering families with
knowledge and resources to make informed decisions.
Cindy lives in Belmont, MA, with her husband and (in the summers) her two college-age
children. She is actively involved in her church and local community and serves as an advocate
for her older brother, Ron, who has disabilities. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending
time outdoors, traveling, the arts, and having fun with her family.
