Bryan Smith is a Special Care Planner for Strategic Financial Group in Houston, Texas. He works with families to help develop customized Life Care Plans using unique and personalized strategies that seek to help maximize financial efficiency. He strives to build lifelong relationships with all of his families based on trust, respect, and ongoing advice on holistic Life Care and Financial Planning.

He says, “My passion to serve is born out of my personal journey and growth as the oldest brother of a child with special needs. I can relate to siblings and parents about the highs and lows of caring for a person with disabilities. I decided to become a Special Care Planner to help families, like mine, who have children or other dependents with special needs address the serious questions concerning their future well-being. I work together with parents or caregivers and siblings to help ensure lifetime care and quality of life.” He assists families with a myriad of issues including understanding and accessing public benefits, preserving benefit eligibility through Special Needs Trusts, and Guardianship concerns.”

Outside of work, Bryan is heavily involved in the Houston community that directly impacts families that have a loved one with special needs. He is currently the President of the Board for Family to Family Network. He also sits on the board for Be An Angel and Brazos Bend Guardianship Services. As a sibling, he is also a part of SibNet which is a national sibling network for siblings of individuals with special needs.
