Marissa Dungey is a founding Member at Dungey Dougherty PLLC based in its Greenwich, Connecticut office. Her practice focuses on transfer tax planning, estate planning, and trust structuring for high-net-worth individuals and their families. Marissa is a frequent author and speaker on a variety of topics in the trusts and estates field, including transfer taxes, income taxation of trusts, trust administration, and gift planning with complex business and investment assets. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from New York University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
Marissa is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, and Wyoming. She is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a member of the Executive Committee of the Estates & Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and holds several leadership positions on the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section (RPTE) of the ABA including on its Council, Planning Committee, Leadership & Membership, and co-chair of RPTE's CLE Committee. Marissa was named as a Trusts & Estates Fellow for RPTE for 2014-2016, a Dennis I. Belcher ACTEC Young Leader for 2016-2018, the USA Rising Star of the Year at the Chambers HNW Awards in 2021, and Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year at Citywealth’s Powerwomen Awards in 2025.
