Speaker Bio

Becky Cholewka is the founder of Cholewka Law, an estate planning and probate law firm in Gilbert, Arizona. She realized the importance of estate planning when her dad died when she was only 19. Through the years she has seen the benefits of great planning, and the nightmare of poor planning. She is passionate about being an advocate —and a voice — for clients and their families.

Cholewka is a prior WealthCounsel Arizona Forum Facilitator where she was responsible for the mentoring and continuing education of 150+ estate planning attorneys. She is a national speaker who enjoys educating attorneys in best practices as legal advisors and entrepreneurs.

During law school, Cholewka clerked for the Arizona Attorney General's Criminal Prosecution Unit. She was elected Editor-in-Chief of the Phoenix Law Review, President of the Phoenix Law Women's Association, Vice-President of the Student Bar Association, and Vice-President of the Federalist Society. She was selected as 1st Place Barrister in her school's moot court competition and competed in two national competitions—placing as a regional semi-finalist in both. Cholewka also studied one summer in Beijing, China, to gain first-hand knowledge of the Chinese political and legal systems.

Cholewka's previous professional experience includes community relations, non-profit fundraising, event planning, lobbying for education issues and health and human service issues, and owning her own consulting services business. She has worked with organizations such as the Cleveland Indians Baseball Company, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Cleveland Municipal School District, Cleveland Film Commission, and the National Conference for Community and Justice.

Cholewka is proud to be actively involved in her local community. She serves as an elected Board Member for the Power Ranch Homeowner's Association, is a member of the Mercy Gilbert Hospital Patient Advisory Council, is a member of the Mariposa Point Assisted Living Advisory Board, and is the former President of the Small Business Alliance. She is also an active member and volunteer at Rock Point Church.

Cholewka and her husband have been married more than 25 years and have lived in California, Ohio, and have called Arizona "home" since 2003. She has a son named Will. Cholewka enjoys domestic and international travel, gourmet dining, action movies, reading mystery and history books, and watching all types of sports.
