As an estate planning, tax, or business attorney, eventually you will have a client who needs a professional business valuation. In addition to establishing a business value for succession planning, attorneys also need business valuations for many other purposes. Business valuations can resolve disputes related to estate and gift taxation, divorce litigation, and buy-sell agreements. Other business and legal purposes of valuations include shareholders deadlock, contested estates, and more.
