The “Broken” Trust Syndrome: Modifying Irrevocable Trusts in California
 
This presentation will explore the modification of outdated, insufficient, or even severely deficient irrevocable trusts.  A comparison will be made between the three modification statutes in the Probate Code (PC 15403, 15404, and 15409), common situations where trust modification may be appropriate, the upsides and potential downsides of trust modifications, and some practice tips and pointers.
