William F. Marutzky maintains his practice in the areas of business planning, estate planning, and tax controversy. In addition, he frequently is a presenter at seminars and conferences for professional organizations on these subject areas.
An attorney and CPA, Bill previously was a Professor of Law at DePaul University and IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also taught business classes at DePaul University, Northern Illinois University, and North Central College.
He is licensed to practice before the Federal District Courts in Illinois and Wisconsin, the U.S. 7th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Claims, the U.S. Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. Previously, he was Chair for Federal Tax Procedures Committees for the Chicago Bar Association and for the Illinois CPA Society. Presently, he sits on the Ethics Committee of the Illinois CPA Society.
Bill’s educational achievements include a Master of Tax Law (L.L.M.) from DePaul University, a J. D. with Honors from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law, an M.S.in Accounting and a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
Most recently, Bill has received recognition as an Accredited Estate Planner (ARP)® and accreditation as an Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS).
