As a nurse attorney with over 30 years of legal experience, Cathleen Summers concentrates her legal practice on crisis planning, Medicaid and long-term care planning, estate planning, and guardianship. She is the go-to expert on helping clients and their families navigate the legal and health care worlds when a crisis occurs. She specializes in crisis management and often supports families who may live out of state or who are unable to provide frequent oversight of a loved one’s care.

Cathleen is often sought out by professionals to serve as an advisor to local hospitals, and to be a member of several boards in the community. Cathleen currently serves as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Cathleen grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts and currently resides in Acton, Massachusetts with her husband, Philip Summers. They have three children.

Cathleen and her husband and partner, Phil, founded the firm in 2003.
