Born in Smithfield, NC, June 10, 1951. Resident of Raleigh, NC, since 1956.

Joe received his college degree in business administration and his law degree with magna cum laude honors. He has also received the Martindale-Hubbell® AV® PreeminentTM rating.

Above all, Joe has been blessed with a long marriage and two children, who have further blessed him with three grandchildren.

Law Practice History:
Admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1977. From 1977 to 2004, his concentration was estate and income taxes, Wills, probate administration, real estate matters, construction law and civil litigation. Since 2004, his practice has been limited to Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning, including related aspects of taxation, business organization and asset protection.

Joe is the senior partner in Mitchiner & Small, PLLC.
