The Future of Estate Planning
Thursday, January 14, 2021, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, ET
Presenter: James G. Blase, JD, CPA, LLM

How do the recent elections, including the Senate runoff elections in Georgia, affect estate planning moving forward?

At various times President-elect Biden has called for a lower federal estate tax exemption, higher income tax rates (including on capital gains), the elimination of income tax basis step-up at death, and even the deemed sale of assets at death or when lifetime gifts are made.  Changing demographics involving retiring baby boomers moving from high-tax states into lower or no-tax states are also relevant.

This pre-recorded webinar will discuss these recent developments and will explore various planning strategies an estate planning attorney may utilize to help counteract the same.
