WHAT WE’LL COVER

Please join us on Friday, March 27th at 12:00 pm, ET for a special webinar on Governmental Relief for Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19. On March 18, 2020, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) was passed. The FFCRA includes two important new laws intended to provide relief from the impact of COVID-19, while also offering tax credits and exemptions designed to protect the viability of businesses during a time of economic stress. In this webinar, we will discuss:
  • The Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act and the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act, and the implications of each;
  • When a business is required to offer paid leave to employees under the new laws, and when exemptions apply;
  • State, Local and Federal disaster relief grants and loans that may be available to assist with operating cash-flow;
  • How these laws dovetail with at-will employment and an employer’s ability to lay off employees; and
  • Key elements of the economic stimulus package - expected to be passed in the coming days.
