Daniel B. Capobianco maintains a specialty law practice in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mr. Capobianco’s practice is concentrated in both domestic and international tax practice with emphasis on sophisticated tax and estate planning, charitable tax planning; business succession planning, and international private investment funds.
As both an Attorney and CPA, Mr. Capobianco provides comprehensive tax services to his clients, which can include sophisticated planning as well as preparation of complex tax returns for high net worth individuals, business entities and estates and trusts. Many of the business succession and estate plans crafted include the use of FLPs, defective grantor trusts and GRATs in conjunction with each other. Mr. Capobianco’s clients include both U.S. companies and individuals with international operations as well as foreign businesses and individuals doing business in the U.S. Mr. Capobianco has prepared estate plans for several individuals worth in excess of $50 million.
He received both his M.S. (tax) and his J.D. from the University of Miami, and his B.B.A. (accounting) from Loyola University. Mr. Capobianco is a member of the Louisiana, Florida and Massachusetts Bars, as well as the American Bar Association (Taxation; Real Property, Probate & Trust; and International sections).
Mr. Capobianco has been a member of WealthCounsel since its inception and has given seminars for National Business Institute (NBI) on topics such as international tax reporting issues and sophisticated estate planning techniques. Mr. Capobianco’s prior experience includes several years in the tax departments of Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Young & Co.
