Scott Squillace is an international corporate and estate planning attorney with over 30 years of experience.
He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New York and Washington D.C. and has been admitted to the Bar in Paris, France as an Avocat. Scott began his practice career as a corporate and transactional attorney at Skadden, Arps where he was among the first attorneys to open its Paris and Moscow offices. During his time at Skadden he did significant private and public company corporate work helping businesses to plan for financial and other growth needs. He worked in Skadden's Washington, D.C., New York, Paris, Moscow and Hong Kong offices.
Scott also spent a significant amount of time as an in-house corporate attorney first as General Counsel for Levi Strauss & Co.'s European Division based in Brussels and later as the first General Counsel for Grand Circle Travel, a privately held Boston based travel company. He also served as European Counsel for Cabot Corporation, a NYSE public company, headquartered in Boston. He has travelled and worked extensively in Asia, Latin America and Europe.
Scott is now the founder of Squillace & Associates, P.C. - a boutique law firm in Boston's historic Back Bay specializing in Life & Estate Planning matters for individuals and families. He specializes in planning needs for international clientele, corporate executives and small business owners. He is a member of Wealth Counsel and works in collaboration with other attorneys nationally on life & estate planning matters. His practice also includes a focus on planning needs for same-sex couples and their families. He also regularly provides Pet Trusts for his clients, having 2 chocolate labs.
Scott is an active participant in a number of community and professional organizations. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for The Boston Foundation and chairs its Equality Fund, an endowment for the LGBT community; he serves on the Board of Directors for the Boston Estate Planning Council and on the Episcopal Disoces Finance and Investment Committee. He has served on the Board of Directors and past chair of the Fenway Community Health Center and the Association of Corporate Counsel, New England and European Chapters. He has served on the Boston Legal Foundation's, Massachusetts Advisory Council; the Editorial Board for New England In-House Magazine; Advisory Board Member , Boston University School of Management, Executive Education for Lawyers and proudly served as Treasurer and Board member for MassEquality, a coalition supporting Equal Marriage rights in Massachusetts.
