Dennis is married and a retired Army officer with active and Reserve service. He was awarded Airborne Ranger and French Army Commando qualifications among other awards.
Today, Dennis is active in King County Search & Rescue Association and the Washington State Animal Response Team. He has served in a number of leadership positions in SAR units and served on the Board of the State SAR association. His volunteer activities can take him into the forests, mountains, towns and cities of Western Washington at all hours and in any weather working with his teammates to help get a lost or hurt person or animal home safe.
