Taking the Intimidation Out of the Internal Revenue Code for the Estate Planner

Tax Intensive 2020 is a comprehensive overview of the Internal Revenue Code and its practical application for estate planning attorneys, paralegal staff, and other professionals involved in trusts estates. The presenters will lead attendees through selected sections of the Internal Revenue Code relevant to the planning and administration of estates and trusts and the creation and management of business entities in estate planning. 

Learning Objectives: 
Attendees will develop a foundation on the basic principles of federal estate and gift taxation, including computation of the taxable estate, donative transfers, marital deduction planning, income taxation of estates and trusts, and how the Code applies to estate planning concepts, methods, and administration. In addition attendees will gain an introduction to business tax concepts including corporate and partnership taxation, as those entities relate to estate planning. 

Who Should Attend:
Although Tax Intensive 2020 is intended to be an introductory course appropriate for attorneys new or transitioning to estate planning, legal staff, and other professionals of all levels, including experienced estate planning attorneys and financial professionals, are encouraged to attend and participate. Individuals who seek to either learn or be refreshed on the estate, income, and business tax code sections most relevant to estate planning will benefit most from this program.
