Join us for the inaugural Symposium Story Time! As legal practitioners, we often collect stories. Have you ever been working with a married couple and had one spouse approach you to surreptitiously plan for their “secret family”? Have you ever been approached by a client or prospective client, blatantly asking you to help them “hide money,” break the law, or get a bit too close to the line? What did these experiences teach you? These stories are sometimes shocking, sometimes entertaining, and often they are so much more than just stories. Sharing our anonymized tales from the trenches allows us to learn from each other’s experiences (the good, the bad, and the funny-in-retrospect), to grow personally and professionally, and to better serve ourselves and our clients with the benefit of hindsight. All WealthCounsel members and/or Symposium registrants are invited to send in their stories! From these submissions, we will be selecting stories for an entertaining and educational panel discussion as we explore lessons learned the hard way.
