Kelly Piacenti leads the MassMutual SpecialCare® program, overseeing a national network of nearly 400 Special Care Planners and managing strategic partnerships with leading nonprofits serving the disability community. She serves on the National Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) and is on the Advisory Board for both the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the American College Center for Special Needs.
A frequent speaker at industry conferences and contributor to publications such as U.S. News & World Report and Exceptional Parent Magazine, Kelly is recognized for her thought leadership in special needs planning. Her advocacy has earned her honors including the UCP Chair Award, the Theresa Award, and recognition as a “Working Mother of the Year” by Working Mother magazine in 2015.
Prior to joining MassMutual in 2016, Kelly spent 25 years at MetLife, where she led the Center for Special Needs Planning. She holds a Master’s degree and lives in Chester, NJ with her husband and has four adult children. As a mother to a child with special needs for 19 years, Kelly brings personal insight and compassion to her work, serving as a trusted resource for families navigating similar journeys.
