In the aftermath of the decision in Loper Bright v. Raimondo and the early days of a new presidential administration, elder law practitioners find themselves in the midst of a potential sea change in the world of public benefits planning and strategy. In this session, attendees will be brought up to speed on the current and long-term consequences flowing from recent case law from around the country, as well as statutory and regulatory updates that may affect everyday practice. The session will provide 

• a rubric to separate speculation from reality;
• updates relating to Medicaid, Social Security, Veterans benefits, and special needs planning; and
• a potential framework for changes that may be on the horizon.
