Description

As the country ages and more Americans find themselves in need of the unique talents offered by elder law practitioners, attorneys have a duty to stay informed of contemporary planning techniques in an often-complex and increasingly intricate area of practice. This session will focus on four pillars of elder law: Medicaid, Veterans Affairs (VA) Pension with Aid and Attendance, guardianship/conservatorship, and special needs. Within each subject matter, attendees will learn the following: 

  • state-of-the-art strategies, best practices, and common pitfalls
  • 10 usable, relatable case studies to bridge theory and real-world application 
  • how best to leverage this knowledge to benefit clients in a landscape that is poised for change
