This interactive session will use recorded hypotheticals to discuss how to access the client’s capacity, maximize the client’s capacity and protective actions that might be necessary.
After this session, the participants will be able to

• Delineate the specific ethical issues that arise when working with people with diminished capacity
• List ways to maximize the capacity of clients
• Create an intentional assessment tool for assessing client’s capacity
• Explain when protective actions are permitted and appropriate actions to be taken.
