Marty concentrates her practice on wealth transfer and preservation, estate planning, entity formation, trust administration, and trust and estate litigation. She counsels HNW and UHNW individuals, families, and business owners on strategies to protect their loved ones and assets while building enduring multigenerational legacy plans.
A Wyoming native, Marty earned her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming. She launched her career in the Legacy Planning Department of a Casper-based law firm, where she successfully argued Utley v. Lankford, 2013 WY 65, before the Wyoming Supreme Court. In 2015, she assumed the role of Managing Partner at Corthell and King Law Office, P.C., Wyoming's oldest law firm. She has also served as Project Manager for the Wyoming Supreme Court during the implementation of the Chancery Court, and taught at the University of Wyoming College of Business.
During the 2021 legislative session, Marty authored amendments to Wyoming's Fraudulent Transfer Act that significantly reduced the period in which creditors may bring certain claims against trusts, strengthening Wyoming's position as a premier asset protection jurisdiction. Most recently, she was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
Marty and her husband reside in Laramie, Wyoming, with their two children. When she's not working with clients, she can be found traveling, hunting, fishing, and enjoying all things outdoors.
