Marty’s focuses her practice on wealth transfer and preservation, estate planning, business creation, trust administration, and trust and estate litigation. She advises individuals, families, and business owners on protecting assets and creating multigenerational legacy plans.
A Wyoming native, Marty earned both her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Wyoming. She began her career in the Legacy Planning Department of a Casper law firm and successfully argued Utley v. Lankford, 2013 WY 65, before the Wyoming Supreme Court. In 2015, she became Managing Partner of Corthell and King Law Office, P.C., Wyoming’s oldest law firm. She has also served as Project Manager for the Wyoming Supreme Court during the implementation of the Chancery Court and taught at the University of Wyoming College of Business.
During the 2021 legislative session, Marty authored amendments to Wyoming’s Fraudulent Transfer Act, significantly reducing the period in which creditors may bring certain claims against trusts and strengthening Wyoming’s asset protection framework.
Marty and her husband reside in Laramie, Wyoming, with their two children. She enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, and generally all things outdoors.
