Arizona Forum Roundtable
Thursday, April 18, 2019
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

AT A GLANCE

All Arizona WealthCounsel members are invited to attend this free study group.  A portion of this month's roundtable meeting will focus on Religious Considerations in Estate Planning.  Attendees will receive 1 CLE for this presentation.

In 2017 Americans donated upwards of $127B to religious organizations with 37% of respondents identifying as "highly religious." Despite the central role religion plays in many clients' lives, the topic is rarely addressed in the estate planning context where a client's religious beliefs may actually inform their preferences with respect to the distribution of their wealth and/or end-of-life care decisions. In some cases, ensuring that these religious beliefs and traditions are passed on to the next generation may even be just as important as a client's other estate planning goals.

In this presentation, author of Estate Planning for the Muslim Client and WealthCounsel Member, Yaser Ali, will explore the role of religion in American society and address how to ethically and effectively counsel clients who are seeking to integrate aspects of their faith into their estate plan.

If you have any questions about the Arizona Forum or the roundtable meetings, please email Arizona Forum Leader, Becky Cholewka at Becky@gilbertlawoffice.com.
