Greg Herman-Giddens is President and the founding shareholder of TrustCounsel law firm, with offices in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Naples, Florida. He has been practicing law for over 37 years and is a Board-Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law (NC). Greg received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina, a J.D. from Tulane University Law School, and an LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, and New York Bars, as well as the U.S. Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is also licensed as a Solicitor in England and Wales, and a full member (TEP) of the International Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. For many years, Greg has presented continuing legal education programs on a local and national level and is the author of numerous articles on tax and estate planning topics. In addition to his legal career, Greg has been a Certified Financial Planner since 2007. That year he founded TrustProtector, LLC, which offers Trust Protector services in the U.S. and internationally. He also serves as an expert witness in trust and estate litigation matters.
