After a client’s death, a fiduciary may discover that the decedent owned some unusual assets - guns, wine, and cannabis - to name just a few.  Each of these requires special attention in order to avoid a wasting asset.  This presentation will explore some of the ways to plan for unusual and regulated assets a client may own, and keep them and their fiduciaries out of trouble.

The Trusts and Estates Section of the Nevada Bar sponsored a lengthy bill addressing many of the issues that our bar identified as opportunities for improvement in maintaining the best trust and asset protection planning situs in the country.  Alan & Jeff chaired the legislative committee for this section of the bar and invested significant time and energy throughout the legislative process.  They will be sharing the changes that were passed.
