A home is often the most valuable and important asset that a family owns. During this presentation, we will review federal and state Medicaid rules relating to the primary residence and discuss how the Medicaid Asset Protection Trust (MAPT) can assist clients in protecting and preserving their home and its value. The MAPT is a foundational planning strategy for proactive Medicaid clients and this information will assist practitioners in understanding its value and utilizing it to assist the clients that they serve.
